The race has a very impressive looking
tracker website. Let's hope it works (it didn't 2 years ago). My number is 5181.
Here in Ireland it might be worthwhile to keep an eye out for Gary O'Hanlon 59981.
Update: A brutally hilly course on a hot day meant I didn't quite make the marathon - got caught by the catcher car just after the 40k mark. 23th position overall from just over 1400 runners.
Not working yet. Says you "did not start"!
ReplyDeleteStarted at noon Ewen. Tracker working - still running at 2:16 - 27.28km (about 8 minute miles average pace, assuming tracker is correct)
ReplyDelete2:34 and 32.32km => 7:40 pace average.
ReplyDelete2:48 and 36.14km => 7:29 pace. Either picking up the pace or tracker gets more accurate as runners retire. 95,094 finished and 1,712 still running.
ReplyDelete3:00 and 39.5km => 7:20 pace. 1,287 still running. C'mon Thomas.
ReplyDelete3:05 and 40.95km => 7:16 pace. 711 still running. Marathon next.
ReplyDelete3:10 and 42.27km => 7:14 pace. 654 still running. Marathon done and dusted.
ReplyDeleteNot too sure who I was tracking as it now says Thomas finished with 40.16km.
