Pacing the 3:10 group went exceptionally well, I'm really pleased. Came home in 3:09:44 (my Garmin) or 3:09:45 (DCM's as yet unofficial time), which is just about perfect. While I was a bit nervous before the start because this was the fastest time I've ever paced, I felt very comfortable all the way.
Race pace report to follow later - got to go home first.
Just seen you on the telly this morning immediately after finishing! They were interviewing Maria McCambridge and you passed behind. Looked as fresh as a daisy!
ReplyDeleteThat is super pacing Thomas, well done!
ReplyDeleteYou are the Yoda of pacing! Or something like that….
ReplyDeleteAwesome, awesome job, Thomas!
ReplyDeleteWell done Thomas! Can't wait your full report.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see everything came together perfectly on race day, since precise pacing is really impressive. Should nicely flush away the bad memories of struggling in training a few weeks back.
ReplyDeleteAny chance that you can come to Scotland and pace a 3:10 marathon for me? This is probably about what I could do right now, or at least once I've recovered from my own weekend race :-)
Good pacing Thomas.
ReplyDeleteMy 2nd favourite blog post ever. You even shortened Dublin.
